The Dirty Secret About "Study Hacks"
Execution > Information.
Hey friends,
Adam here.
Let’s cut through the noise:
You don’t need more study hacks
You don’t need another productivity app
You don’t need to wake up at 4 a.m.
Here’s what you actually need:
To close the execution gap.
Let me explain.
The two gaps holding you back
1. The Information Gap
“I don’t know how to study effectively.”
This is what courses and gurus sell solutions for.
2. The Execution Gap
“I know what to do… I just don’t do it.”
This is the real problem no one talks about.
Most people:
Spend years closing the information gap (buying courses, watching tutorials)
Never touch the execution gap (actually using the knowledge)
Result?
A notes app full of tips you’ll never use.
Why we love information gaps
They’re safe. Comfortable. Easy.
Collecting tips feels like progress… without the risk of failing.
Execution gaps?
They’re messy. They force you to:
Start before you’re ready
Look stupid
Fail publicly
But here’s the truth:
Execution is where the magic happens.
How I closed my execution gap (And saved 10+ hours a week)
As a medical student and LinkedIn creator juggling between work and life, I don’t have much time.
So I built a 10-minute system to force action.
👇🏻
The Priming Protocol (No willpower required)
Set a 10-minute timer. No prep. No apps. Just start.
Define ONE objective
Bad: “Study pharmacology”
Good: “Learn why beta-blockers lower heart rate”
Skim
Headers → diagrams → bold terms.
Context first.
Write 2 “dumb” questions. For example:
“When would I avoid beta-blockers?”
“What happens if you overdose?”
That’s it.
Oh, and if you want to continue working after 10 minutes?
You have overcome the initial friction :)
Why this works
Priming isn’t a “hack” - it’s a behavioural trap that:
Forces you to engage (no passive scrolling)
Break down a task into smaller steps
Exposes what you don’t know (so you fix it)
Takes less time than brewing coffee
I used this to:
Cut study time by 40%
Stop hoarding tips I’d never use
Finally execute
The bottom line
TL;DR: Execution > Information. Always.
I created MediZen so you can execute, get tasks done, and never lag again.

Adam
P.S. MediZen is launching on May 4th. I’m so excited for you to use it. 🎯
